Major Project Proposel

Concept:

The idea of the project is to adapt the novel into a 3D production. 'Bird Box' is a 2014 post-apocalyptic novel, authored by Josh Malerman. The story is partially told via flashbacks and takes place during two different time periods.

 Outcome:

I want to produce and short animation of  the terrifying scene of the family  journeying down the river. Adapting the characters: Malorie and the children, Boy and Girl, the rowing boat and the river. 

Research:

I'll have a look at different Michigan rivers around autumn, the animals which stay around the river and the different rowing boats which are used.

Style:

The modelling and rigging of the character will be stylised using Tim Burton's art and animation as reference.

Software:

I'll be using illustrator, Photoshop, Maya, Audition and Aftereffect or PremierPro to complete this project.
